Between 2–5 March 2011, Rolling Film Festival will showcase, for the second time, more than 30 films made by and about Roma from all over the world. History, culture, art, hardships and joyfulness, life dramas and the simpleness of everyday life will come alive, to you, through the camera lenses of brilliant directors, to the screens of Rolling. Discussions between audience, artists, academics, and guests will follow screenings.
Not only documentary movies, but for the first time, Rolling will showcase the "dreams" of young Roma - recreated in their short mobile phone films. Poetry reading, an art exhibition and live music will all add richness to this year's Festival. One of the movies presented is "Chimeres absentes" by Fanny Ardant, a patron of the Council of Europe's DOSTA! campaign.
The opening ceremony will take place at 19:00 on Wednesday 2nd of March 2011. The entire festival is hosted at ODA Theater. Video jingle of the festival is available here.
