LIVES, a film journey of one young Askali man’s quest to understand why the life expectancy of his people is so much shorter than that of their neighbors, had its premier 20 August at DokuFest, the prestigious international film festival that has become an institution in Prizren, Kosovo. The search for answers looks particularly at livelihood, environmental conditionals, diet, smoking and early marriage- aiming both for action from institutions and from people themselves to make positive changes.
Znatno veći broj romske djece u odnosu na djecu drugih nacionalnosti odrasta u institucionalnoj skrbi i to u većini zemalja u kojima žive Romi, pokazale su studije provedene u Europskoj uniji.Šanse za udomljavanjem i posvajanjem romske djece s teškoćama u razvoju još su manje, a zbog nemogućnosti bioloških obitelji da im pruže odgovarajuću skrb, ta djeca najčešće prve godine života provedu u ustanovi.Kako bi romskoj djeci osigurali ostvarivanje prava na kvalitetnu obiteljsku skrb, Forum za kvalitetno udomiteljstvo i Ured UNICEF-a za Hrvatsku pokrenuli su projekt pod nazivom Razvoj
